Don and Rachel's wedding is made adjourned by the visit of mysterious rock figure named Gonn, separating the two and taking them on a journey to their pasts, presents, and possible futures.
Separately, Don and Rachel face their respective upbringings, seeing the stories and events that shaped them to be who they are, and why they are together. With their differing lifestyles and outlooks in life, they come together to make a choice, of their happily ever after.
